Words from the Artist: Her police officer ex-husband tried to kill her and immediately reported that she had initiated it which was a lie. His co-workers took his side, and it was only the fact that an emergency room doctor noticed a sneaker print that she wasn’t locked up. She didn’t know it was there. I drew this with magic marker from the photo the doctor took with a cellphone that my daughter texted to me from the stretcher.

A violence free world would not have situations like this. There is hope.
